Everybody dreams of it: you find yourself stuck in a traffic jam and at the push of a button your car changes into a flying object, and you can go on your way. But is it a dream? This dream has already become reality. During the 2015 Pioneers festival in Vienna the Slovak company Aeromobil showed its flying car to the general public. This vehicle introduces a whole new driving experience and will revolutionise driving instructions in the future. The integration of automotive, aviation and aerospace technologies is now a fact with the birth of the Aeromobil. Employees in these industries will require new competences and IPC will develop standards for the new developments. Being an educator for the technical connections industry, PIEK closely follows the developments and even participates in creating certain standards. This keeps PIEK’s instructors up to date with the very latest developments and ensures that their courses are up to date.
