The company boasts a wide range of articles sourced from internationally recognised manufacturers, always seeking out the best products and top-quality systems. This range includes tools and products used to prevent electro-static discharge in sensitive microelectronics, also known as ESD (Electro-Static Discharge).
Apart from this, ROMEX supplies Weller’s reputable soldering irons and soldering systems. For post-production checks of printed circuit boards and electronic systems, ROMEX has both hardware and software on offer for extensive in-circuit and functional test solutions.
Due to the increasing need for dust-free and static-free production of complex microelectronics, such as with the assembly of ASML machines, ROMEX offers complete clean rooms and equipment to go with them to guarantee safe and dust-free production and assembly.
Thanks to their ONE-STOP SHOPPING MODEL, competitive prices, fast delivery, great technical support and excellent reputation, ROMEX meets the high expectations of customers in the electronics industry.
Recently a number of ROMEX employees did a course with PIEK, and not just any employees, but those working in sales, back office and warehouse. Normally speaking, these people would take a course with the manufacturer, e.g. Weller, but ROMEX’s management chose for PIEK instead because of its flexibility in providing courses. Moreover, ROMEX considered it important for its staff to get to know any manufacturer’s equipment just the way PIEK’s customers would experience this, namely during a course.
‘PIEK usually visits our customers, so we get their insights’ according to Floor van Ewijk, Commercial Manager with ROMEX. ‘Our employees have taken the PIEK Qualified Rework and Repair Engineer course, so that they get a good sense of what soldering really means.’ Sales Manager Jeroen Baede, adds: ‘The PIEK trainer clearly and calmly guided the participants through the syllabus, there was ample opportunity to ask questions, and the answers were always thorough and professional. Our staff has now truly come to grips with the products they are selling. After the course they were all impressed with how enlightening and interesting the course had been.’
Floor van Ewijk: ‘We have known PIEK and Ben Walls for more than 30 years, and we have been able to see at close quarters how PIEK has developed into a formidable powerhouse of a training institute that is recognised the world over. We will always recommend PIEK to our customers, because we know that PIEK is a very professional institute that can provide the full range of IPC courses. It makes perfect sense for employees to get thoroughly trained, so that they really get to know that different soldering connections have to meet different requirements. It is also vital that companies come to realise that an IPC certification for employees can yield a make-or-break competitive advantage.’
PIEK thanks both gentlemen from ROMEX for their contributions to this article.
