At PIEK we firmly believe in the power of people who dedicate themselves to creating a better world. When that commitment stems from personal experiences and loss, its meaning becomes even more profound. That is why we wholeheartedly support the initiative of team “no stRess no dRama positIVO”, which will climb the Alpe d’Huez on 5 June 2025, in support of the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF Kankerbestrijding).

Every participant in this team carries a story with them – stories of loss, grief and farewells, but also of hope, resilience and connection. As a company that works with people every day, we are deeply moved by this team’s motivation: transforming painful experiences into something positive. Not just for themselves, but especially for others. For the future. For a world in which a cancer diagnosis may one day no longer be a death sentence.

Cancer affects all of us, directly or indirectly. Within our own organisation, we also know people who have battled with this disease. That is why this initiative feels not just like an external charity, but something very close to home. It shows how important it is to continue supporting cancer research and investing in better treatments.

The climb up the Alpe d’Huez is tough, both physically and emotionally. Yet it is also a powerful symbol: every metre upward is a step towards healing, towards hope. We at PIEK are proud to contribute to this. With our support we aim not only to encourage the team but also to express our deep appreciation for their dedication and perseverance.

Together we pedal forward. Toward a future without cancer.
