Le dispositif a la taille d\u2019une cl\u00e9 USB et se compose de deux canaux li\u00e9s par une membrane poreuse. Cette paroi poreuse permet de recr\u00e9er l\u2019\u00e9change entre les structures cellulaires propres \u00e0 l\u2019organe dans l\u2019un des canaux et les cellules endoth\u00e9liales similaires \u00e0 celles des vaisseaux sanguins dans l\u2019autre. Ce syst\u00e8me permet d\u2019observer efficacement l\u2019effet des m\u00e9dicaments. Cette plateforme permet de simuler dix organes humains diff\u00e9rents, dont le poumon, le foie, le rein, le c\u0153ur, le tube digestif, le cerveau, la peau et la barri\u00e8re h\u00e9mato-enc\u00e9phalique. En reliant ces organes, il est possible de contr\u00f4ler l\u2019effet d\u2019un m\u00e9dicament sur l\u2019ensemble du corps. Ces <a href=\"https:\/\/wyss.harvard.edu\/technology\/human-organs-on-chips\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">inventions<\/a> sont encore en phase pr\u00e9coce, mais les premiers r\u00e9sultats sont tr\u00e8s prometteurs.<\/p>\n<p>Au cours des prochaines d\u00e9cennies, c\u2019est la solution de <a href=\"https:\/\/aip.scitation.org\/doi\/10.1063\/1.5120555\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cerveau sur puce<\/a> qui repr\u00e9sentera le plus grand d\u00e9fi pour la science. Avant de pouvoir r\u00e9ellement toucher aux cellules c\u00e9r\u00e9brales de l\u2019homme, les scientifiques ont encore beaucoup de progr\u00e8s \u00e0 faire.
